The iron core is an important component of the magnetic circuit of the motor product. The main material of the iron core is silicon steel sheet. Motors with different performances may require silicon steel sheets of different grades and thicknesses to meet the final magnetic performance requirements. In physics, the strength of a magnetic field is represented by magnetic induction, and the greater the magnetic induction, the stronger the magnetic induction. The smaller the magnetic induction intensity, the weaker the magnetic induction ability.

Silicon steel sheet is a very typical soft magnetic material, which is used to increase the magnetic flux of the inductance coil to achieve the maximum conversion of electromagnetic power. When the motor winding is energized, it will generate an electromagnetic field. When the magnetic field passes through the iron core, it will manage the disordered small magnetic needles in the iron core. So you can see the magnet wire. These regularly arranged small magnetic needles further enhance the strength of the electromagnetic field, that is, the motor winding generates When the magnetic field passes through the iron core, the loss is small, and energy conversion can be better realized. We can also understand the iron core as a green channel for the electromagnetic field.

Different types and grades of magnetically permeable materials have different magnetically permeable capabilities, which are reflected in magnetic flux density, that is, within the range of magnetic flux density, magnetically permeable materials can achieve better magnetic conduction functions, but when required to pass When the magnetic flux is large, that is, when the density of the magnetic flux that is trying to pass is higher than the density of the magnetic permeable material, even if the current of the motor increases, the magnetic field strength will not increase at the same time. At this time, we can think that the iron core of the motor has reached The upper limit of magnetic flux, that is, in a state of saturation, can also be visualized as a state of "traffic jam".

In motor design. More setting close to magnetic saturation as an ideal state can ensure better utilization of materials. In this state, the voltage of the motor is not allowed to have too much positive offset to prevent the increase in voltage. It leads to other problems. In many technical conditions, 10% is specified as the offset limit value of the voltage. The magnetic saturation of the iron core will cause the motor to overheat and cause the insulation to age. In severe cases, it will cause a short circuit between the turns of the coil and the motor will burn out!
